GYPSUM BOARD/ PLASTER BOARD/ PADITION BOARD 4FT X 6FT/ 4FT X 8FT

Gypsum Board / Plasterboard / Drywall Board (4' x 6' / 4' x 8')

Introduction

Gypsum board, commonly referred to as partition board, plasterboard, or drywall, is a lightweight flat panel engineered for interior wall partition and ceiling installation. It consists of a non-combustible core made primarily of gypsum, encased in durable paper facing. It is widely used in dry construction as an efficient alternative to brickwork and plywood board.

Key Features & Advantages

  • Smooth Finish: Provides a flat, seamless surface that is ready for painting, papering, or decorative finishing.

  • Fire & Sound Insulation: Gypsum core offers inherent fire-resistant properties and aids in sound dampening between partitioned spaces.

  • Lightweight & Fast Installation: Easy to cut, handle, and install using light-gauge steel framing (C-Studs and U-Channels).

  • Dimensional Stability: Minimal shrinkage or warping compared to traditional timber boards.

Primary Applications

  • Interior Partition Walls: Creating office cubicles, bedroom dividers, and temporary wall enclosures.

  • Ceiling Linings: Suspended ceilings and flush plaster ceiling installations.

  • Wall Cladding: Covering uneven masonry walls to achieve a clean, smooth interior wall surface.
